Subscriptions

Subscribe through the App Store (iOS) or Google Play (Android). Subscriptions renew automatically but can be cancelled anytime from your device settings.

iOS: Settings > Apple ID > Subscriptions > MechNostic > Cancel. Android: Google Play > Subscriptions > MechNostic > Cancel. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your billing period.

Refunds are handled by Apple or Google, depending on your platform. Contact their support for refund requests.

Privacy & Data

We collect account information, diagnostic case data (symptoms, codes, outcomes), and usage analytics. VIN and registration data is stored securely to provide accurate suggestions.

No. We never sell your personal data. Anonymised outcome data may be used to improve NosticEngine, but personal identifiers are stripped.

MechNostic Account Deletion

Yes. MechNostic users can request deletion of their account and associated data at any time.

To delete your MechNostic account: 1) Open the MechNostic app, 2) Go to Settings, 3) Tap Account, 4) Tap Delete Account, 5) Confirm your request. Your account and data will be permanently deleted.

When you delete your MechNostic account, the following data is permanently removed: your MechNostic user account and login credentials, all diagnostic history and saved cases, vehicle information and VIN data, subscription linkage identifiers, and app preferences and settings.

Billing and payment records processed through Apple App Store or Google Play may be retained by those platforms according to their policies. MechNostic may retain anonymised, non-identifiable data for service improvement. Financial records required for legal or tax compliance may be retained for up to 7 years.

Account deletion requests are processed immediately upon confirmation. In some cases, complete removal from all backup systems may take up to 30 days.

Troubleshooting

Try force-closing and reopening the app. If the issue persists, try uninstalling and reinstalling. Your data syncs with your account and will be restored.

First, ensure you're signed in with the same account used to purchase. Try restoring purchases from Settings > Subscription > Restore Purchases.

Use the "Forgot Password" option on the login screen. If you still have issues, contact support with your registered email address.
