NosticEngine and Learning

NosticEngine improves diagnostic suggestions by learning from outcomes. When you log what fixed a problem, this data is anonymised (personal identifiers removed) before entering the learning system. You can opt out of contributing to NosticEngine in your account settings.

MechNostic Account Deletion

You can delete your MechNostic account and associated data at any time by following these steps:

Open the MechNostic app
Go to Settings
Tap Account
Tap Delete Account
Confirm your request

Data That Is Deleted

When you delete your MechNostic account, the following data is permanently removed:

Your MechNostic user account and login credentials
All diagnostic history and saved cases
Vehicle information and VIN data
Subscription linkage identifiers
App preferences and settings

Data That May Be Retained

Billing and payment records processed through Apple App Store or Google Play may be retained by those platforms according to their policies
Anonymised, non-identifiable data used for service improvement
Financial records required for legal or tax compliance may be retained for up to 7 years

Deletion Timeline

Account deletion requests are processed immediately upon confirmation. In some cases, complete removal from all backup systems may take up to 30 days.
